Beginning April 2009

"EndtoEndjuly09" Challenge
John O'Groats to Land's End Charity Cycle Ride
1,000 miles in aid of Cancer Research
My name is Kevin, and in a moment of madness my nephew Terry and i decided to cycle from John O'Groats to Lands End this summer in aid of Cancer Research. We will leave John O'Groats on 26th July 09 and, if all goes well, after just under 1,000 gruelling miles, arrive in Lands End on 8th August.
My Mum died of Cancer in 2007. We wanted to do something in her memory - and for those who gave her such wonderful treatment and care during her long battle. Compared to what she and other Cancer sufferers go through, what at first seemed a monumental task of cycling from one end of the UK to the other doesn't seem so mad after all!
Of course we want to raise as much as possible for this worthy cause, so we are looking for sponsorship, donations and practical help. We have a small support team of two - my niece Lesley and family friend Hazel, and one support vehicle. This will help keep costs down but your help is desperately needed so that as much money as possible can be passed on to Cancer Research.
